AMADO NERVO
(1870 Nayarit, Mexico - 1919 Montevideo, Uruguay)

Amado Nervo was born in Tepic, Nayarit, on August 27, 1870.
His parents, Amado Nervo and Juana Maldonado Nunez Ordaz,
descended from Spanish settlers in the Port of San Blas since
the eighteenth century. Nervo had six brothers and two foster
sisters.
His father attended a store called "The Bridge of SanFrancisco"
Nervo died when he was 13. Before that event, the teen was
sent to study at a College Parent Romans in Jacona, Michoacan
and then the prestigious seminary where he studied Zamora
preparatory. He received lessons in mathematics, physics, and
logic, interest in science and philosophy, plus a solid literary

and humanistic who later became evident in his work.

At 29 Nervo began studying natural law but law school was
closed the following year. By that time, he loved a girl of 14 years
and wrote wrote effusive letters and poems to this impossible love.

Economic problems forced the family to return to Tepic Nervo, whence then went to Mazatlan. There was installed between 1892 and 1894 to work as a journalist in The Evening Mail, where he collaborated with translations from English and French, writtenchronicles, written reports, events pergueñó reviews and editorials.
Subsequently, Nervo moved to Mexico City, where he worked in Bogota newspapers as El Universal and El Mundo. There he met the writers Rafael Urbina, José Juan Tablada and Manuel Gutiérrez Nájera, who invited him to collaborate on Blue Magazine. In those years Nervo is gaining fame and recognition as a writer, with the publication ofhis novel The Bachelor (1895) and Black Pearls poems (1896) and Mystic (1898).

In 1900 the newspaper The fair Nervo sent a correspondent

thatyear the young Nervo established relationship with major poets and consecrated as Leopoldo Lugones, Oscar Wilde and Rubén Darío, also toured several European countries. Nervo at that time met the woman who would be the great love in her life, Ana Cecilia Luisa Dailliez.
Nervo In 1903 he returned to Mexico, and Ana met him afterwards. Thanks to the efforts of Justo Sierra, Nervo began working as a teacher and as a School Inspector in the Ministry of Education, while stillworking in newspapers and magazines and feeding his fame as a poet and his reputation as prose and witty observer.
In 1904 he directed, along with Jesus E. Valenzuela, the Modern Review, a publication that popularized the post-romantic poetry and poems unveiled Nervo Exodus and flowers Lira road and heroic.

.Nervo starts in diplomacy in 1905, after passing the
exam to enter the diplomaticservice. First was
appointed Second Secretary of the Legation of Mexico
in Spain and in 1906 was promoted to First Secretary of
the Legation of Mexico in Spain, where he lasted 13
years of diplomatic activity without sacrificing literature
and journalism.
 
He worked constantly in newspapers like La Nación
