During the first two weeks of every course, I will have my basic students prepare a scrap-poster

based on their favorites on music and sports*.  Later on the thirdweek they will share their scrap-

posters in small groups. The purpose of this activity is to enhance their speaking abilities as well as

to interact more openly andbecome aware of their hidden abilities.

My TeachingPhilosophy

 

January 2012, a year full of promises and strange predictions, but here at ICPNA we never stop doing what we love “teaching”. 

Teaching is a great adventure,a joyful act and a challenging ride. Especially these days when you get such incredible group of students, some so eager to learn and others very interested in learning but findour teaching slow, boring, not challenging or out of place.  So what happened with motivation and the good environment? That still works, but we also have to realize that thesenew generations are so different.  They are the instant coffee, instant popcorn, people. They are the no-time generation and they are not going to stop and explain it to us. Weneed to find the way to approach them, find the way to establish a connection. So learning to use today’s technology, I believe, is a good way to reach them, we need to speaktheir language, know how they think, we need to google, facebook, tweet, use YouTube, explore their world a bit. So you must be thinking that my teaching philosophy has changed,not at all. It has only gone a bit more modern, up-dated on technology.  We need to get “hooked on tech”, but with a teaching view.
