Call for Presentation Proposals: International Days 2012
Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,

The Office of International Programs (OIP) invites you to participate in UT Pan American’sInternational Days 2012 on November 15 – 16. This year’s theme is “Internationalizing the Campus”, and we invite you to participate as an International Days 2012 presenter.

Broadly speaking, campusinternationalization is a process of integrating international, intercultural, or global dimensions into the purpose, function, or delivery of post-secondary education including teaching, research, and service.Internationalization includes a wide variety of curricular, extracurricular, and other activities to foster international and intercultural knowledge, skills, and abilities to prepare students,staff, and faculty for global contexts.

All proposal submissions are welcome, but we especially encourage proposals featuring diverse presenters, including students or individuals of different levelsof experience, and/or from different units, institutions, or organizations. Proposals are not topic restricted, but should clearly relate to the theme of the event. We especially seek presentations inthe following areas:
* International collaborations, grants, or contracts
* International teaching, research, or service
* Extracurricular internationalization/internationalization innon-academic units
* Integrating international students/scholars in the University/Inclusion of the international community in campus life
* International experiential learning/internships
*International culture/communication
* International labor markets
* Academic internationalization through international components in the curriculum
* Teaching or studying abroad/Promotionof study abroad/Study abroad as a requirement
* Options for internationalization of non-mobile students, staff, and faculty
