Dear Sir or Madam,

I'm delighted to read that the Sudanese-born model, Alek Wek, not only look beautiful on the outside, but also in theinside she owns a sense of affection. Since she's been a model, you could at first sight fancy her having prima donna behaviour, but after a glance at the article, she's an exception from thestereotype. I found the story about her childhood in Sudan in the article ''Hunger Diary'' which was published in The Daily Beast the 28th November, as truly touching. Now I pay homage to her efforts fordecreasing the famine in Africa and believe she should be encouraged to continue her impressive career as kind-hearted advocate. She's doing the world excellent services, by visiting schools and alsogetting in touch with school children from around the world and make them aware of how they can change the situation for other children living in difficulties. I have got inspired by Miss Wek and likedto put in my two pennies worth.

I totally agree with her point that people should be ashamed of the fact that there are lots of persons, particularly in the United States, eating slathers of food,while others have to use every exertion to go through a day or more with empty stomachs. If these persons don't put aside the greediness, we will still have countries with famine-hit population. In myopinion, addiction to food is a serious problem nowadays. We should have rehab programmes for people having bad relation to food, in this way we could perhaps make their avarice vanish, just like aperson who gets free from the grasp of drugs after leaving the rehabilitation clinic.

To discard food is just another way of wastage. Though Alek Wek has an eminent good resolution for this, it'ssimply to take the leftovers. Besides making it possible to feed many mouths, we also do the environment a huge favour, by exploiting less of the natural resources to produce provisions.
