RESUMEN
Este estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar los conocimientos que tenían veinteestudiantes de la
carrera Educación Integral de la Universidad Nacional Abierta acerca de la Historia Moderna y
Contemporánea de Venezuela, específicamente del gobierno de Juan Vicente Gómez, antes y
después de realizar el análisis psicosocial de la obra literaria “Casas Muertas”. Este análisis
consistió en problematizar en un taller los aspectos de salud, políticos, educativos y
socioeconómicos que setrataban en la obra. Esta es una investigación preexperimental, preprueba
y posprueba con un solo grupo; la preprueba y la posprueba fueron cuestionarios y los resultados
obtenidos se clasificaron y se presentan en cuadros estadísticos. Esta investigación se justifica
porque el estudio de la asignatura Historia se ha limitado a la memorización de los contenidos del
libro de texto y no se ha tomadoen cuenta el potencial que posee la misma para formar un
estudiante crítico, participativo y con valores democráticos. Los resultados de la posprueba
reflejaron cambios en los conocimientos acerca del tema tratado.

LEARNING HISTORY THROUGH THE PSYCHOSOCIAL ANALYSIS OF
LITERARY WORKS: A STRATEGY FOR PARTICIPATIVE EDUCATION
ABSTRACTThis study aimed to investigate the knowledge that they had twenty students of the career
education Comprehensive National Open University about the modern and contemporary history of
Venezuela, specifically the government of Juan Vicente Gomez, before and after performing the
psychosocial analysis literary work "Dead Houses". This analysis consisted of a workshop
problematize aspects of health,political, economic and educational status who were treated on site.
This research is a pre-experimental, pretest and posttest with a single group, the pretest and
posttest questionnaires and the results were obtained were classified and presented in statistical
tables. This research is justified because the study of the subject History has been limited to the
memorization of the contents of thetextbook and not taken into account the potential that has the
same student to form critical, participatory and democratic values. The posttest results showed
changes in knowledge about this subject.
