HAVE YOU READ THE BOOK OF MORMON TODAY?
“By doing so (reading the Book of Mormon) we will fill and refresh our minds with the constant flow of the ‘water’ which Jesus said would be in us– “a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14). Wemust obtain a continuing supply of this water if we are to resist evil and retain the blessings of being born again...
“And so, I counsel you, my beloved brothers and sisters and friends everywhere, to make reading in the Book of Mormon a few minutes each day a lifelong practice... I feel certain that if, in our homes, parents will read from the Book of Mormon prayerfully and regularly, both bythemselves and with their children, the spirit of that book will come to permeate our homes and all who dwell therein. The spirit of reverence will increase; mutual respect and consideration for each other will grow. The spirit of contention will depart. Parents will counsel their children in greater love and wisdom. Children will be more responsive and submissive to that counsel. Righteousnesswill increase. Faith, hope, and charity– the pure love of Christ– will abound in our homes and lives, bringing in their wake peace, joy, and happiness.”

“There is a book we need tostudy daily, both as individuals and as family, namely the Book of Mormon. I love that book. It is the book that will get a person nearer to God by abiding by its precepts than any other book. Let us continually reread the Book of Mormon so that we might more fully come to Christ, be committed to Him, centered in Him, and consumed in Him.” (Pres. Ezra Taft Benson)

If we donot listen, he will not sup with us nor give answer to our prayers. We must learn how to listen, grasp, interpret, understand. The Lord stands knocking. He never retreats. But he will never force himself upon us. If our distance from him increases, it is we who have moved and not the Lord.” (Pres. Spencer W. Kimball)
