Title: Adicctions.
Introduction:
The essay purpose is to enhance the new century addictions and the problem that nowadays they represent in our lives; are we all really free ofany addiction? Even soft ones?.
Development:
Before anything we should start by defining the word addiction; “Addiction is a condition in which the body must have a drug to avoidphysical and psychological withdrawal symptoms” adapted from encyclopedia of psychology.
But what if we don’t need any drug; what if our addictions are more simple than that, if wepass more than 3 hours in front of a PC or laptop it can be defined as addiction too.
Nowadays with all the media services its hard to not be hook on in the internet or socialnetworks we can be connected all day long with our Smartphone’s or iPods…
It’s true that internet have made our lives easier; we can search for anything we want to know about with just oneclick or a touch but, at what price.?
Also we can carry or friends in our pockets and talk with them at any hour because they are also engaged in all the media, but what when youtotally loose connection with real world?.
And what when you compulsiveness look for a Wifi signal, or a laptop for get connected; we even forget that we are in a party with realpeople with we can interact in a easily way and still we prefer the wire, I think we should try and have the willpower to get over this global internet addiction, to recover the old chitchats in coffees and restaurants; And not only through a liquid crystal screen, we should make an huge effort and kick this bad habit off!
Conclusion: I think we aren’t addicts tointernet… yet but if we let it just be we can get to that end, internet it’s an easy and cheap way to keep in touch but not the only one, lets fight against and back to the basics.
