Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for scheduling of ship work, ship arrival, departure, docking and undocking.
• Reviews job orders for adequacy of technicalinformation, man-hour allowances and material requirements. Maintains liaison with other Shop Planners and Foremen. Prepares shop work requests, condition reports and other requirements needed in thescheduled completion of jobs. Prepares weekly and daily reports, charts and graphs of work accomplishments.
• Prepares and computes ship’s work percentage, progress and statistics when the ship isin availability such as:

ROH – Regular Overhaul
RAV – Restricted Availability
UAV – Upkeep Availability
TAV – Technical Availability
FTG– Fleet Training Group

• Prepares Ship Superintendents One Liner meeting.
• Relays casualty reports to the higher-ups.
• Prepares and coordinates with Ship Superintendents the WorkDefinition Conference (WDC) meeting.
• Prepares memorandum on Availability Preliminary Work Package for shops to review job orders.
• Prepares Sea Trial, Dock Trial, Pre & Post Trials before andafter the ship availability
