TALLER ANIMAL FARM
1 Beasts of England was the original anthem of the Animal farm corresponds to the famous socialist anthem. the song paints a dramatic picture of the utopian, or ideal, animalcommunity of Old Major’s dream. It paints a vivid picture of the day when animals are at last free of man and all the symbols of slavery such as whips and spurs are gone. It appeals to their dreams ofa more prosperous future, an abundance of food and the absence of cruelty, and the need for hope to keep an individual from giving up.
They like the song because it relates to the Rebbellion and whatthey have to do in the Rebbellion. The song gives the beasts both courage and solace on many occasions. The lofty optimism of the words “golden future time,” which appear in the last verse, servesto keep the animals focused on the Rebellion’s goals so that they will ignore the suffering along the way.
Although structurally, the songs are different, the content of "Beasts of England" mirrorsthat of "The Internationale". The first line, "Beasts of England, beasts of Ireland", shows the international nature of "animalism", compare viz "The Internationale unites the human race". It speaks ofa future utopia, free from human control, and a time of plenty. In "The Internationale" this is only briefly mentioned. Instead, "The Internationale" is more militant. Chains in "The Internationale"are metaphorical, and those in "Beasts of England" are real.
2 This is significant on how the animals arrange themselves as they gather to hear Major because this sets up in the book on how Majoris very important in the farm to the animals. This arrangement might say about future meetings is that they may talk about what Major had told them in that time. At first, the pigs and dogs sit inthe front row. The other animals arrange themselves behind the pigs and dogs. In the future the pigs will be in charge, and the dogs will guard the pigs.
