ESTUDIO DE LOS COMPORTAMIENTOS NOTACIONALES EN NIÑOS PREESCOLARES (4 A 6 AÑOS) RESPECTO DEL SISTEMA DE NOTACIÓN NUMÉRICO CONVENCIONAL Ma. Isabel Guiot Vázquez mguiot@gmail.com.mx Facultad de Psicología- Xalapa Universidad Veracruzana RESUMEN Este estudio pretende conocer y analizar las hipótesis que los niños de edad preescolar expresan cuando se les pide que reconozcan y escriban números encontextos tanto de comprensión como de producción. Al categorizar estas hipótesis, se busca evidenciar un orden evolutivo entre ellas. Los objetivos que orientaron el trabajo giraron en torno a conocer y analizar las concepciones que los niños construyen respecto de nuestro sistema de notación numérico, focalizando nuestro interés en los aspectos formales y funcionales del mismo. La muestra con la quese trabajó fue no aleatoria por cuotas, dado el interés particular en la obtención de un corpus específico centrado en las producciones de niños y niñas de cuatro y medio y seis años. En tanto el sistema de notación numérico fue considerado como un lenguaje, las categorías de análisis que se emplearon se establecieron en función de las características sintácticas, semánticas y pragmáticasencontradas en el corpus. Para llevar a cabo el análisis de los datos se describieron las producciones de los niños, separándolas según la situación de exploración, en cada uno de los grupos de edad; posteriormente se compararon las producciones entre cada uno de los niños de cada grupo y entre los dos grupos de edad. Esta investigación, de carácter descriptivo, permitió establecer la existencia de unorden evolutivo en las producciones de los niños, fuertemente asociado al uso funcional del sistema que éstos llevan a cabo, apoyado por expertos. La conclusión fundamental de esta investigación refuerza la idea de que el conocimiento del sistema notacional (y en general de cualquier conocimiento matemático) no puede ser enseñado, sino que es el niño o la niña es quien debe llegar, por sí mismo, y apartir de la acción mental y de procedimientos de carácter intuitivo, fuertemente apoyados por el entorno social, a construir su significado. Palabras clave: sistema notacional, hipótesis respecto del sistema, uso funcional Abstract The present study aims to find out and analyze the hypothesis that children of preschool age express, when they are asked to recognize and write numbers incomprehension as well as production contexts. When categorizing this hypothesis, the evolutionary order between them is being found. The objectives of the work were to encounter and analyze the conceptions that children construct in regard to the numeric system, centering the interest in the formal and functional aspects of it. random by counts, given the purpose onobtaining a specific corpus centered in the production of the boys and girls of four and a half years old. In regards to the numeric system, it was considered as a language, the categories for the analysis were established in regards of the syntactic, semantic and pragmatic characteristics found in the corpus. In order to analyze the data the children’s productions were described, separating themaccording to the exploration situation, in each of the age groups, later the productions were compared in between each child of each group and between the two group ages. This descriptive research, permitted to establish the existence of a developmental order in the children’s productions, strongly associated to the functional use of the system that they used, as helped by experts. The fundamentalconclusion of the present research reinforces the idea that knowledge about the numerical system (and in general of any mathematical knowledge) can not be thought, but rather is the child who has to arrive to it, by him or herself, and from the mental action and the procedures of intuitive character, strongly supported by the social context to construct their meaning.
