Learning in present time
I strongly support the idea that teachers should make learning enjoyable and fun for the student.
This I support based in the following reasons:First let us take the psychological component or a student. A student will always be more receptive to anything, including studies, if the subject of matter is presented inan interesting and enjoyable manner. If not there is a huge possibility that the student will be not interested or will reject the matter presented even if the matter isinteresting.
My second point is that the present days student faces tremendous amount of distractions such as television programs, social networks, time online, drugs,alcohol, parties even distraction from a sexual partner and many more. To get the student away from all that and to get the student interested in studies there is obviously no otherway that to make learning interesting and apply new techniques in order to get the student attention.
The present day student is also pressured with a big amount ofcompetition from other students. In public schools this is a really important problem because there are a lot of people who wants to study but they can’t, and the reason is thecapacity of the school. Even studding students are under pressure and expectation from their parents making learning an obligation instead something enjoyable.
Retention isanother factor that should be considered important. Any presentation which is given in an interesting or enjoyable way can be retained by the student easily. Nowadays thereare investigations about this, because the problem seems to be deeper like nutrition issues. The possibility of retention rises when the teacher uses didactic materials.
