I am writing this letter in order to tell what happend on Tuesday of November. I came in late to the exam, when everyone wasalready sitting down, so I hurried in. I took my seat, and listened to further instruction. Approximately 5 minutes after starting theexam, Mrs.Bertone comes up to me and asks me if I had a calculator in my pocket. I, honestly, despite its measurements, did notrealize that I did in fact have one, and answered no. I cheeked my pockets, and in fact I did have one. But I in no way i was planningon using it for anything, nor for cheating nor for calculations. I can swear it was an honest mistake, a combination from runninglate, my head beign somewhere else and nerves from the exam that I did not noticed I entered with a second calculator to the exam. Inall of high school I have never cheated in an exam, this can be very easily corroborated, and I wasn’t planning on starting now. Iwasn’t going to risk all of my IB exams for one moths test, in which I have predicated a good grade. I sincerely apologize for theinconvenience, since rules are rules and I must have declared the calculator, but I honestly did not realize I had one. I hope you canunderstand my position, and I would be very sad if for some mistake like this one I would be left out of the IB.
Sincerely, Simon.
