SPELLING RULES THIRD PERSON PRESENT SIMPLE

1. It is normally formed by adding “ –s” put-puts


But “-es” is added with verbs endingin “s”, “ss”, “sh”, “ch”, “x”, “o”

2. Treatment of –y
Consonant+y = i+es carry-carries
Vowel+y = y+s buy-buys
