Technological Advances
1.- These are the most notable technology news announced last week by U.S. media USA Today:
HDTV in one of Ikea. The Swedish company has submitted an HDTV, Blu-ray and TVcabinet all integrated into a central living room furniture. That means that no longer will need to find the perfect TV to put on the perfect TV table, or the perfect DVD player to connect it all. TheUppleva ("Experience" in Swedish) has all the pieces together into one. The usual nest of cables disappears in a sleek, all devices are managed with a single remote control.
2.- The advent of smartwatch. Comes Sony SmartWatch smart watch that connects to your phone via Bluetooth. Theoretically, the SmartWatch should:
Perform simple tasks, such as allowing to create an event on your calendar.Allow users to post tweets, check Facebook messages, etc..
Indicate the time. But the real reason is that costs another $ 149.99: The Pebble Smart Clock uses electronic paper (like the Kindle) so youcan read the screen without any problems with direct sunlight. Time will tell if this watch works as advertised. It is still a prototype and not available for review. 3. Microsoft has several versions of Windows 8. Windows 8 is the latest version of themost popular operating software in the world. It has a brand new look, with a home screen divided into squares. There are four varieties when it's released later this year: a basic version forconsumers, a "Pro" version for fans most advanced technology, a version of "RT" for tablet and an enterprise version. 4. A bulb that lasts 20 years.It is assumed that the Philips bulb should last 20 years and issue a more natural light than fluorescent lamps. The trick: the bulb cost about $ 60.
