BIOELEMENTOS

Los bioelementos son los elementos químicos que constituyen los seres vivos.
De los aproximadamente 100 elementos químicos que existen en la naturaleza, unos
70 se encuentran en los seres vivos. De estos sólo unos 22 se encuentran en todos
en cierta abundancia y cumplen una cierta función.
Clasificaremos los bioelementos en:

>Bioelementos primarios: O, C, H, N, P y S. Representan en su conjunto el
96,2% del total.
>Bioelementos secundarios: Na+ , K+ , Ca2+ , Mg2+ , Cl-. Aunque seencuentran
en menor proporción que los primarios, son también imprescindibles para los
seres vivos. En medio acuoso se encuentran siempre ionizados.

Oligoelementos o elementos vestigiales: Son aquellos bioelementos que se
encuentran en los seres vivos en un porcentaje menor del 0.1%. Algunos, los
indispensables, se encuentran en todos los seres vivos, mientras que otros,
variables, solamente los necesitan algunos organismos.
Trace elements and trace elements: Those who bioelements

El hecho de que los bioelementos primarios sean tan abundantes en los seres vivos
se debe a que presentan ciertas características que los hacen idóneos para formar
las moléculas de los seres vivos. Así:

* Aunque no son de los más abundantes, todos ellos se encuentran con
cierta facilidad en las capas más externas de la Tierra(corteza, atmósfera
e hidrosfera).

The fact that the primary bioelements are so abundant in the living
is because certain features that make them suitable to form
molecules of living things. Thus:

* Sus compuestos presentan polaridad por lo que fácilmente se disuelven en
el agua, lo que facilita su incorporación y eliminación.
