Main Characters: Nathaniel, Bartimaeus, Mr. Underwood, Mrs. Underwood, Simon Lovelace, Schyfler and Lime.

Plot:Nathaniel was taken as an apprentice of the magician Mr. Underwood. He was very shy he only had confidence with Mrs. Underwood. He was underestimated by his master and spent most of his time reading booksfrom his masters library, some far more complex than he should manage. On a feast, Simon Lovelace, Lime and Schyfler, Mr. Underwood´s friends, started asking him questions and Nathaniel quite impressedthem. But Simon got angry and he attacked him. Nathaniel, in look for revenge, summoned a high-level djinni called Bartimaeus. He ordered him to steal Simon´s most important treasure, the Amulet ofSamarkand. Simon tracked the Amulet and murdered Nathaniel´s master as well as his wife Mrs. Underwood. Simon was heading a conference 2 days later and Nathaniel and Bartimaeus suspected the Amulet hadsomething to do with his mysterious plan. At the conference, all attendees were trapped inside the main hall. During Simon´s speech a giant pentacle was revealed and Simon summoned a very potent andstrong demon that has never been summoned before. It was a Ramuthra. The summoning horn used by Lovelace must be broken at the same time the Dismissal Spell is spoken. And Nathaniel must remember thespell in order to save the magicians. Bartimaeus took the Amulet from Simon Lovelace and gave it to Nathaniel. This amulet had the power to protect its wearer above everything. Nathaniel broke the hornand spoke the Dismissal Spell at the same time Simon and the Ramuthra vanished and everything was resolved.
