Can Teens Give Advice To Adults?

Ladies and gentlemen, what can be better than a teenager giving advice to parents of their teenage son or daughter? Well, let’s speak with the truth, no one can. Answer me this, how many times haveyou heard that no one can understand what a person is going through unless you have gone through it too? I have heard it a lot. And it is true. But, let’s be realistic, it is known around the worldthat we teenagers are a bit complicated. Parents have more troubles with their kids when they are teens than when they are just kids. Just the other day, I went to the opening of the new teen center ofLas Condes Clinic. Well, there, I saw different performed situations in which parents couldn’t understand their children and vice versa. After those performances, two adolescents and two parents wentup and discussed their point of view in different things. I could conclude that, it is difficult for a parent to deal with their teenage children and many times they don’t know what to do or how to actwith them, and that a teen many times feels misunderstood by their own parents. I will tell you my own experience in giving advice to a mother. I have a friend that have gone through a tough time,and still is. I haven’t been able to see or talk to her, but what I do, is call her mom every day to know how she’s doing and her advances. I ask her how she is in the different things that I know shehas trouble with. The point here is that when her mother tells me something, I try to give her advice based on the different aspects I know and have experienced. I also tell her, that many of thethings that she tells me of her are normal of what she has. I can understand my friend, ‘cause in some way I am going through the same, so I get her. Let’s get real; if you have gone through the samesituation as another person, it is most likely for you to get how he or she feels. Giving advice is not an easy task for anybody.
