CHAPTER 3

Semi structured Interview: is not a qualitative or a quantitative way, it can’t be measured as such. The outcome will be based on the possible answers that could match the authorsmodels and concepts that chapter 2 mentions or proposes. The idea is not to make any data collection. The idea is to have 8 people in total, experienced and no-experiences designers interviewed. Out ofthose 8, there will be 4 students and 4 non-students.

What is expected to bee seen in this chapter is that:
• students have no much experience therefore less emotional intelligence.
•Professionals, on the other hand, can be more precisely categorized in to the any of the 5 big personality model.
• Both groups, students as well as professionals are in need of “identity” which is the conceptthat Maslow describes.
• None of the good designers can be ruled under concepts or models such as task oriented () as they need to feel free, to be inspired.
• Big companies tend to balancedeadlines requirements with employees needs through hr departments or HRM theories of behaviour so that everyone is treated in a deferent way according to their needs.
• Small companies can apply similartechniques in order to embrace creativity. invest in designers creativity is a reward for the company and makes designers feel good. Being stress or anxious is a creativity killer. Small business areallowed to have those feelings but not their creative members.
• relaxation is the opposite of anxiety.

The expectations of Chapter 3 are to white something similar to this:
“Participants alsocompleted the interview which measured the extent to which they where able to relax and keep their stress under control. it was found that people who worked better at relaxing were more successful, thisis because they where able to access the intuitive part of their brains”... “we can conclude that employees could be more intuitive, thus more creative, if they work in a more relaxed setting.”...
