l artículo quiere cubrir las múltiples lagunas que los autoreshan ido encontrando a lo largo de los últimos cinco años de trabajo en el campo de la Clasificación de Heridos en situación de Catástrofe. En este sentido, se han revisado más de cien trabajos, seleccionando de ellos un total de veintitrés. En el artículo se describen dieciséis métodos diferentes de clasificación de heridos, explicando de manera más pormenorizada siete de ellos, por entender queson los más adecuados para ser aplicados en una situación de catástrofe. De éstos, los siete pueden ser utilizados durante el primer triage. Cuatro de ellos son más lentos o llevan más tiempo, aunque ofrecen una mejor precisión del estado lesional del herido, haciéndoles más adecuados para fases posteriores de la emergencia. También se describe, en relación con el tema, las diferentes formas declasificar a los heridos en 2, 3, 4 ó 5 categorías, según su nivel de prioridad, y las formas de marcar esta prioridad al herido: Sistemas de tarjetas de triage, cintas, banderines, etc. Finalmente, hemos seleccionado el método, sistema de clasificación y de señalización que a nuestro entender más se ajustan a las necesidades que existen durante estas situaciones. De esta forma, el Método Rápido deClasificación de Heridos nos parece el más adecuado para la realización del Primer Triage, por ser rápido y sensible, puede ser desarrollado por personal no médico, y su uso en conjunción con el juego de tarjetas hace que no surjan dudas en su forma de aplicación. Para la toma de decisiones en materia de evacuación de los heridos nos decantamos por el Revised Trauma Score, ya que permite una buenaestimación pronóstica.

his article aims to cover the many gaps that the authors have found over the last five years of working in the field of Classification of Wounds in Catastrophic situations. In this sense, more than one hundred works have been reviewed, and a total of twenty-three of them have been selected. In the article, sixteen different methods of classifying wounds have beendescribed and seven of them, which we understand to be best to be applied in a catastrophic situation, have been described in detail. Of them, the seven can be used during the first triage. Four of them take more time, although they ofter greater accuracy regarding the state of the wound lesions, making them more adequate for the later stages of emergency. The different forms of classifying thewounds into 2, 3, 4 or 5 categories according to their level of priority are also described in regards to the subject. In addition, the forms of marking this priority to the wound are described: System of triage cards, bands, flags. Finally, we have selected the method, classification system and marking system that we understand is that one that adjusts best to the needs that exists during thesesituations. In this way, the Rapid Method of Classification of Wounds seems to us to be the best for the perf o r m a n c e o f t h e F i r s t Tr i a g e , a s i t i s a r a p i d a n d sensitive method, can be developed by non-medical personnel, and its use together with the card kit prevents doubts from arising on how to apply it. Regarding the decision-making for evacuation of the wounded, we haveopted for the Revised Trauma Score, since it allows fora good prognostic evaluation.
