CULTURAS AGRAFAS Y SALUD MENTAL: INTERVENCIONES DESDE LOS CUIDADOS DE LA FAMILIA. PRIMITIVE CULTURES AND MENTAL HEALTH: INTERVENTIONS FROM THE FAMILY CARES.

RESUMEN: La familia conforma el grupo social primario y la base de su engranaje con el resto de la comunidad, desempeñando una serie de funciones que le son propias. El estudio de los trastornos mentales en las diferentes culturas está lleno deenseñanzas, sobre todo para unas ciencias de la salud que se olvidan con frecuencia del sujeto y de sus raíces antropológicas. La medicina tradicional ilustra la forzosa diversidad en las formas de presentación de los cuadros psicopatológicos y la relatividad de los criterios de normalidad; ejemplariza, en definitiva, la primacía de cada cultura en la idea que cada sociedad se hace de la locura oel malestar psicológico y de las formas de su tratamiento. En la construcción de la enfermedad mental y de su tratamiento está la historia de los pueblos, de sus mitos y símbolos; están los distintos relatos que constituyen su interpretación del mundo. Relatos que en las culturas ágrafas se trasmiten oralmente, viajando con las generaciones, mezclándose con otras culturas, con otras narraciones yleyendas, constituyendo la identidad de los grupos originarios. En cada cultura se integrara la locura en la familia de una determinada manera, cada grupo cultural, intentará el equilibrio de sus miembros. En este trabajo se abordan algunos de estos aspectos en determinadas culturas menos evolucionadas tecnológicamente que la nuestra. ABSTRACT: The family is the primary social group and the baseof the social gear with the comunity, exerting a series of functions. The study of the mental disorders in the different cultures is full of educations, especially for some sciences of the health that forget with frequency of the subject and of his anthropological roots. The traditional medicine illustrates the great diversity in the forms of presentation of the psychiatric ilness and therelativity of the criteria of normality; saying the primacy of each culture in the idea that each society does of the madness or the psychological discontent and the form of its treatment.

In theconstruction of the mental illness and of his treatment is the history of the villages, of his myths and symbols; they are the distinct stories that constitute his interpretation of the world. Stories that in the primitive cultures are told by talking and hearing, travelling with the generations, mixing with other cultures, with other myths and legends, constituting the identity of the groups. In eachculture integrated the madness in the family of a determinate way, each cultural group, will try the balance of his members. In this work we are talking about some of these appearances in determinate primtive cultures.
