INTRODUCTION:

Actually I chosethis date because I find it very important to our country, since it takes many thousands of years being celebrated. Another of the reasons why I chose this conclusion was that, each year that passes is lost the tradition of putting offerings, visit our dead or just do it quickly and easily when they should devote time and effort.
Another of the reasons is that I love to make gift, decorate,prepare and go visit the dead of my family.

DAY OF THE DEAD

WHAT IS THE DAY OF THE DEAD?
The Day of the Dead is a Mexican celebration that honors Hispanic origin the dead on November 2, starting on November 1, and coincides with the Catholic celebrations of All Souls Day and All Saints.
It's a Mexican holiday, which is also celebrated in some Central American countries, and in manycommunities in the United States, where there is a large Mexican and Central American population. UNESCO has declared the Mexican holiday as Intangible Cultural Heritage mankind.1 Dead Day is a day celebrated in Brazil, as two Souls Day, but the holiday does not have the same roots that pre-Hispanic Mexican holiday.
The origins of the celebration of the Day of the Dead in Mexico predate the arrival ofthe Spanish. There are records of Mexican ethnic celebrations, Maya, Purepecha and Totonac. The rituals that celebrate the life of the ancestors in these civilizations are made from at least three thousand years ago. In the pre-Hispanic era it was common practice to keep skulls as trophies and display them during the rituals to symbolize death and rebirth.
The festival that became the Day of theDead marked the ninth month of the Aztec solar calendar, near the beginning of August, and was celebrated for an entire month. The festivities were presided over by the goddess Mictecacíhuatl, known as the "Lady Death" (currently related to "Catrina", José Guadalupe Posada character) and wife Mictlantecuhtli, Lord of the land of the dead. The festivities were dedicated to the celebration ofchildren and the lives of deceased relatives

WHAT ARE THE SKULLS?
They are so called both rhymes, satirical verses as engravings illustrating skulls or candy disguised as described below:
• Rhymes. also called "skulls" are actually humorous epitaphs people still living consisting of verses where death (personified) jokes with real-life characters, hinting about a peculiar characteristic of theperson concerned. They end with phrases which exhibits that will be taken to the grave. It is very common to dedicate the "skulls" public figures, especially politicians in power. In many cases the aforementioned speech rhyme like I was already dead.

Symbolism
• The candy skulls, have written the name of the deceased on theforehead, are eaten by relatives or friends.
• The special dish pan de muertos Day of the Dead. It's a sweet biscuit that is baked in different shapes, from simple round shapes up skulls, decorated with figures of the same bone-shaped bread and sprinkle with sugar.
• Flowers. During the period 1 November 2 families usually clean and decorate the graves with colorful wreaths of roses,...
