LIGHT THERAPY

HISTORY
Many old cultures worldwide used to worship at sun like a king because the sun brought them health.
WHAT´S LIGHT THERAPY?
It´s named light therapy orphototherapy, also sometimes it´s named heliotherapy. The light therapy consists of exposure to daylight or specific lights using lasers or lamps.
Professional people put theirlights in your body to treatment of some problems.
They could be:
* Skin disorders
* Acne
* Sleep disorders
* Psychiatric disorders
* Neonatal jaundice: this is whenthe babies’ skin is yellow.

SKIN RELATED
Two forms of phototherapy exists,
No-targeted phototherapy: you have to stay in a light box.
Targeted-Phototherapy: the lights arelocalized on a specific area of the skin. Targeted phototherapy is administered via led light, gas lamp or laser.
PSORIASIS (IT´S A SKIN´S ILLNESS)
Three percent of the populationsuffers from psoriasis, and the phototherapy has been shown to effectively treat the disease.
ACNE
The people know that the sunlight helps to prevent acne, so the phototherapy workslike a sunlight helping to prevent acne.

LIGHT ACTION.
The people act depending of the light, if the light is bright, we act actively but if the light isn´t bright or well thereisn´t light, we act slowly. Also it affect our mood, with light we are in good mood or happy, but without light, we are of bad mood or sad

RISKS AND COMPLICATIONS
Ultravioletlight causes progressive damage to human skin. Because it produces genetic damage, destruction of vitamin A and vitamin C. Ultraviolet light is also harmful the eyes. Sunlight alsoaccelerates aging.

SIDE EFFECTS
Side effects of light therapy for sleep phase disorders include jumpiness, headache, and nausea. Also produces poor vision and skin irritation.
