Developing communicative skills
Objective:
To record meanings from words belonged to a specific semantic field by relating these with another set of vocabulary. Teacher avoidsmemorizing or translating.
Instruction:
* Students are divided by groups of four or five.
* They are provided of two or three lists of words belonged to a specified semantic fields.
* Theyhave to match every word from a list with every word from the other ones.
* They will have to recognize the meaning relationship between these pair of words.
* The first group, who get thematch accomplished, shows the answers and wins.

SPEAKING ACTIVITY: VOLEYBALL GAME FOR VOCABULARY
Objective:
To say a set of words belonged to the same semantic field whiletouching a ball as in a volleyball game.
This activity gives students the chance not only to practice vocabulary orally, but also work with their bodies kinesthetically.
Instructions:
* Students aresplited up into two teams. The teacher will be the arbitral or umpire.
* Every player from one team plays against a player from the other one.
* Pairs throw a ball up in the air, as in avolleyball game.
* While students are touching the ball, they have to pronounce a word belonged to a specific semantic field.
* The team, whose members have fewer mistakes, wins the game.Example:
