What does happen with a diabetic? The person who suffers diabetes cannot produce enough insulin and the one who can produce it is not able to do it correctly. If you suffer this illness youmight be interested in knowing what causes are and how it affects your organism. It can have several causes, but the two main ones are related to some pancreas injuries and environment factors.

Oneof the principal causes of diabetes is the pancreas illnesses. First of all, high insulin hormone can affect the pancreas wall affecting the defense and attacking the pancreas `cells; when a foreignagent enters into the body, it tries to destroy it. The set of these defense systems is called the immune system this slightly alteration causes diabetes; also excess emission of urine, because thebody tries to remove excess blood sugar through the urine and the diabetic drinks plenty of fluids to compensate for all that has been removed during urination. Secondly, some injuries can damage thepancreas such as mumps and measles that produce a short lesion of beta cells, which is an autoimmune reaction against antigens previously sequestered in intact cells and now altered by the virus. Itappears an immune response to a viral protein which amino acid sequences share a beta cell protein.

On the other hand there are some behavioral factors as cause of diabetes considering lifestyle habitssuch as high level of stress that affect the autonomic nervous system and neuro endocrine activity, increasing the production of hormones like cortisol and norepinephrine blood. The first promotesincreased blood sugar and reduces defenses against infection agents, and the second one increases the heart rate and high blood pressure.
