Cacahuamilpa Caves National Park, a protected area of Mexico located on the eastern slope of the Sierra Madre delSur, in the municipalities of Pilcaya, Tetipac and Taxco in Guerrero state, and that of Coatlán River in the state Morelos. Wildlife is abundant, highlighting the cacomisel (tus), the raccoon or badger (Nasua narica), raccoon (Procyon lotor), Rattlesnake(Crotalus sp.), Iguana (Ctenosaura sp.), The green iguana (Iguana iguana), vulture (Sarcoramphus sp.), puma (Felis concolor), margay (Leopardus wiedii) and lynx (Lynx rufus). During therainy season the forest shows a lush appearance, while in the dry landscape dominated by a leafless tree.
The park features limestone hills crossed by the groundwater in the rivers of St.Jerome and Chontalcoatlán, that shaped the resurgence of Dos Bocas and then form the Amacuzac River, tributary of the Balsas, and empties into the Pacific Ocean. The most importantattractions of the park are established routes within the caves, with a length of 1 380 m, and the possibility of caving. You enter the park by the Mexico City-Taxco or the Toluca-Ixtapan-Taxco.
