Placebo
Placebo is a band of alternative rock, glam rock formed in 1994 at London by Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal
1) Presentation of the members.
Current members:
Brian Molko : He wasborn in Belgium at Brussels in 1972 (39 years old) and have the double nationality English and American. Brian Molko is the first guitar, songwriter, singer and leader of the band. He can use manyinstruments: guitar, piano, harmonica, bass guitar or Synthesizer.
Stefan Olsdal : He was born in Sweden at Goteborg in 1974 ( 38 years old ). Stefan is the second guitarist or bassist of the band.He also plays in an other band named Hotel Persona .Besides of plays guitar, he can use xylophone and piano.
Steve Forrest : He was born in 1986 (25 years old) at Modesto in California (USA).Steve is the third drummer of Placebo since Summer 2008, before he was in the band named Evaline. He can plays drum and acoustic guitar.
Previous Members :
Robert Schultzberg : He was born in1975 (37 years old) in Switzerland. The drummer of Placebo until October 1996. He has left of Placebo because of Problems with Brian Molko. In 2003, he had joined the band Lomax.
Steve Hewitt :He wasborn on 1971(41 years old) in Manchester (England). Drummer of Placebo between October 1996 and October 2007, he was previously in the band named breed. He leave the band due to personal and musicaldifferences. Currently, he plays with his brother in the band named love Amongst Ruin.
2) The formation of band Placebo
In the nineties, Molko met Olsdal at the south Kensington tube station.Molko, observing that Olsdal had a guitar strapped to his back and after a discussion, Molko invited Olsdal to watch him perform at a local bar. On the strength of Molko's performance, Stefan decidedto join him.
The two formed Ashtray Heart where they wrote four songs but decided to be a serious band and started to search for a drummer because they haven't got any success without drummer....
