Human evolution
Human evolution started 65 million years ago with primates, in Africa. Lemurs, monkeys, apesand humans are considered primates. Since then, they started to look like the actual humans. They lived in trees, that provided them safety and food. Hominids are the human beings that had largerbrains that primate. The six main stages of human evolution are:
Australopithecus evolved 3.6 to 1.2 million years ago in Africa. They were about 1 to 1.3 meters tall. Their brain was onethird of the modern human’s one. They walked upright and climb trees for and to hide from predators. They ate plants and little pieces of meat because they used simple stone tools that weren’t capableof killing big animals. They moved from place to place on small groups of families.
Homo habilis evolved 2 to 2.5 million years ago in Africa; they were about 1.5 meters tall. Their brainwas the half of the modern human ones. They could talk and carried fire for lightning their way in the night. Everyone had a specific job on their social group. They used to defend from big animals,so that’s why they prefer to killed small preys.
Homo erectus evolved 1.5 to 2.5 million years ago. They habituated Asia and parts of Europe. They were 1.5 meters tall, and had longerlimbs from their ancestors. Their brain size was two thirds of the modern humans. They developed a simple language to communicate with others. They used simple stone tools for cleaning, digging, andcutting their food, or for making new places where to stay. They knew how to control fire and to cook with it.
Early Homo sapiens evolved 500,000 to 30,000 years ago on Africa, but lived inAsia and Europe. Were as tall as modern humans. They were able to hunt big animals because they had developed hunting tools and had well organized groups. They separate in areas their caves and were...
