To me this was very emotional because I am very honest and when people lie, I get very sad but most of the time I get mad.ople because the government paid no attention to them and refused to givethem answers. Martin Luther King talked in his speech about being supportive and determined. But most importantly he talked about the feel and sense of urgency and without the -“procrastination from theoppressor”-. I searched this phrase. To me was very alarming to find that he meant the “oppressor” as the government. The government is supposed to create laws and rules to help us live together.When you make a promise you keep it. No matter how hard or difficult it is to follow. No matter how smart or dumb people are, no matter the color of their skin. It is so difficult for me to understandwhy they couldn’t keep their promise of “freedom” because they were black. Black people were also poor and they did not go to college. I think this also was used against them. To make them believe theywere free and they were not. And Martin Luther King talked about believing in your dreams. He talked about being determined and not to be fooled. He said to the people the day of his speech: -“We donot want to see slow change over time; we rather see a significant change immediately”-. But the black people were slaves. This means they did everything they told them to do. And they wanted to befree. And when you promise something like freedom and don’t give it, people will be mad. Martin Luther King knew this. But he didn’t want this movement to be violent. He wanted, like he said:-“…equality through a non-violent move…”-.
To me this was very important. Because you can be fighting for something like racism and be mad of the people that treat you bad. Because not everyone is the same andeverybody deserves a chance to do things differently. He educated people. He help them understand its al right to be mad and rebel against injustice.
