I was 13 years old. I remember my father very exitede as always. As a family we used to go camping and ride motorcylces almostevery weekend, like a family tradition. Every Friday my dad would pick us up at school, he was in the pickup and the trailer full of supply’s. I remember all the looks we got, the first time hepicked us up everyone was wondering who was that crazy man was delaying traffic.
The most common place we visited was Las dunas; it is a desert full of dunes about two hours from Torreon. This time wasdifferent, that week we had a long weekend since it was Independence Day. That day my father decided to visit La sierra de Durango, a beautiful forest and a perfect motocross field. The road to adestiny it’s always boring, you are always sleepy and grumpy no matter what. But this time it was different I felt exited and thrilled to arrive, something about that day was special.
Looking throughthe mirror I could see the changing landscape, in a matter of hours we went from a desert area full of cactus and dry trees to a forest replete with pines and every kind of green plant I could imagine.I spent most of the time admiring the landscape; occasionally you could see a deer or two. I really like plants and deer’s but my favorite part it’s looking at the rivers and ponds.
I always beeninterested I how water moves. It is docile and gentle but with enough pressure it can destroy everything in its path. Water is sticks to you even I the hardest times, it cleans you and your mess everytime you get dirty. Water is the main source of life in the planet; it can create life in the most inhospitable places you could ever imagine. Sadly it can also kill and destroy; it can easily causesuffering and desperation. It reminds me of someone.
