Euthanasia argumentative essay

The word euthanasia has been generating a lot of controversy. Euthanasia is defined as “the intentional killing by act or omission of a dependent human being for hisor her alleged benefit.” We can also relate the word euthanasia with the concept of physician assisted suicide that is “when a doctor provides an individual with the information, guidance, and meansto take her or his own life with the intention that they will be used for this purpose.” In my personal opinion I don’t like people suffering, but I know that we don’t have the right of take away ourlife. Do humans beings have the right to take a life that God gave?

In the legal point of view we can find an argument that says that “the right of a competent, terminally ill person to avoidexcruciating pain and embrace a timely and dignified death bears the sanction of history and is implicit in the concept of ordered liberty. The exercise of this right is as central to personal autonomyand bodily integrity as rights safeguarded by this Court's decisions relating to marriage, family relationships, procreation, contraception, child rearing and the refusal or termination of life-savingmedical treatment. Instead of that I agreewith the argument that says “The history of the law's treatment of assisted suicide in this country has been and continues to be one of the rejection of nearly all efforts to permit it.
