4.4 Crítica a su visión de la competencia y el monopolio.
El primer punto de discusión que plantea Schumpeter, recae en la preguntaacerca de si el capitalismo favorece o no, el rendimiento máximo de la producción. También, el autor menciona que en la actualidad, vivimos en una edad monopolista.
Schumpeter define al capitalismo como un método de transformación económica, y destaca su carácter evolutivo y no estacionario.
El término “destrucción creadora”, lo utiliza para aludir al carácter evolutivo del capitalismomencionado anteriormente. Es decir, la evolución se manifiesta entre otras cosas, con la apertura de nuevos mercados y el desarrollo de la organización de la producción. Esto genera una “revolución” de la estructura económica destruyendo lo antiguo y creando elementos nuevos.
