MOTHER THERESA OF CALCUTA
Mother Teresa of Calcutta was born on august 26th 1910.
Her real name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, She was born in Albania. She was the youngest child in her family.
Whenshe was 8 years old her father died, her father was an important politician in Albania.
When she was 12 years old she decided to be a missionary nun.
When she was 18 years old she left her home andfamily in order to begin her career.
She went to Ireland in order to learn English, she learnt about education, some politics, human rights, religion and medicine in order to help all kind of peoplein different countries.
She joined to sister’s of Loreto in India, in 1928 she decided to change her name to Teresa in honor of Therese de Linieux, she was a catholic French nun.
She took her vows onMay 1937; she won the Nobel peace prize in 1979.
In 1983 she suffered a heart attack; by 1996 she had made around 517 missions around the world.
She died on September 6th 1997 in Calcutta India,when she was 87 years old.
She was beatified in October 2003; she will be remembered by all the human kind.
