Graphic Designing
A graphic designer is able to show his or her creativity in the work that is done, and he or she canwork from home or be employed by an agency. Graphic designing has gained more and more popularity with the recent boom in technology use, and usage of graphic design in commercials. I chose this job formy essay because I’ve always liked to draw and it just seemed like it fit what I was looking for. Graphic design is in many fields such as typography, photo editing, and logo design. Being a graphicdesigner is very interesting because you get to be self-employed if you choose to be, you get to express your creativity in the work you do, and you get to work with other people so you can get help.Graphic design is a career in which you create the design that appears on billboards, posters, and t-shirt designs combining artistic techniques with technology. Graphic designers develop the layoutof a website or for a magazine (“Graphic”). Graphic designers are employed by different businesses that want to capture someone’s attention with something public like a billboard, so they are askedto create one for the business. Graphic designers also design book covers, logos, commercials, and so on. The first step in developing a new design is to determine the needs of a client, the messagethe design should portray (“Graphic”). A graphic designer’s job is to portray a client’s idea but in an artistic way to capture an audience’s attention. To be a good graphic designer you must know whatyour client wants.
People who graduate from graphic design programs often receive jobs right after graduation with big companies. “Graduates of the program have gone on to work for the ClevelandBrowns football team, the Cleveland Cavaliers basketball team, marketing firms, sign companies and video production”(Shure).
