The Joker: I use a knife because guns are too quick. Otherwise, you can’t savor all the emotions. You know who people are in their last moments. 
El Guasón: Uso un cuchillo porque las armas son demasiado rápidas. De otra manera, no puedes saborear todas las emociones. Uno conoce realmente a las personas en sus momentos finales. 

Batman: Why do you wanna kill me? 
The Joker: Killyou? I don’t wanna kill you… you complete me. 
Batman: ¿Por qué quieres matarme? 
El Guasón: ¿Matarte? No quiero matarte… tú me complementas. 

The Joker: And I thought my jokes were bad… 
El Guasón: Y yo que creía que mis bromas eran malas… 

Batman: What did you do? 
The Joker: I took Gotham’s white knight, and lowered him to our level. It wasn’t hard. Y’see, madness, as you know, is likegravity. All it takes is a little…push. 
Batman: ¿Qué has hecho?

The Joker [to Batman]: You won’t kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness…and I won’t kill you because…you’re just toomuch fun. 
El Guasón (A Batman): Tú no me matas por algún extraño sentido de justicia… Y yo no te mato porque… eres realmente entretenido. 

The Joker [to Batman]: I think you and I are destined to do this forever. 
El Guasón(A Batman): Creo que tú y yo estamos destinados a hacer esto para siempre. 

The Joker [speaking to Harvey]: Do I really look like a man with a plan, Harvey? I don’t have aplan. The mob has plans, the cops have plans. You know what I am, Harvey? I’m a dog chasing cars. I wouldn’t know what to do if I caught one. I just do things. I’m a wrench in the gears. I hate plans. Yours, theirs, everyone’s. Maroni has plans. Gordon has plans. Schemers trying to control their worlds. I am not a schemer. I show schemers how pathetic their attempts to control things really are.So when I say that what happened to you and your girlfriend wasn’t personal, you know I’M telling the truth. 
El Guasón (hablando con Harvey): ¿Realmente parezco un hombre con un plan, Harvey? No tengo un plan. La mafia tiene planes, los policías tienen planes. ¿Sabes que soy, Harvey? Soy el perro que persigue un auto. No sabría qué hacer si alcanzara alguno. Sólo hago cosas. Odio los planes. Lostuyos, los de ellos, los de todos. Maroni tiene planes. Gordon tiene planes. Son personas esquemáticas tratando de controlar sus mundos. Yo no soy así. Yo les muestro lo patéticos que son sus intentos de controlar las cosas. Así que cuando te digo que lo que te paso a ti y a tu novia no fue algo personal, puedes estar seguro que te estoy diciendo la verdad.

Who tells me, I ought to smile more. Who gambles, and gets in deep with sharks. One day they carve her face. We have no money for surgeries. She can’t take it! I just want to see her smile again. I just want her to know that I don’t care about the scars. SoI stick a razor in my mouth and do this… to myself. And you know what? She can’t stand the sight of me! She leaves. Now I see the funny side. Now I’m always smiling!
