Haiti is a country in the Antilles, situated in the western part of the island the Spanish and bordered on the north by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south and west by the Caribbean Sea or theWest Indies and east by the Dominican Republic. To its west lies the Republic of Cuba. Its territory also includes Gonave Island, Turtle Island, the archipelago of islands and island Cayemites Vachesand other various islands of its territorial waters. The uninhabited island of Navasse (Navaza Island in Spanish) is claimed by Haiti to the U.S. administration
