RESUMEN DEL LIBRO:
PRIMERA PARTE: EL COMIENZO DEL SUEÑO
El libro nos cuenta la historia deGabriela, una chica que acaba de terminar la carrera de magisterio. Vivía en un pueblo de Oviedo, pero mientras hizo la carrera se traslado a vivir a Oviedo. Durante la carrera se hizo íntimamente amiga de dos chicas, Rosa y Remedios. El día de su graduación fueron a dar un paseo, cuando se encontraron con una boda, Gabriela a los pocos días leyó en el periódico que se habían casado Don FranciscoFranco y la Señorita Carmen Polo.
Gabriela pronto empezó a trabajar en un pueblo, estuvo poco tiempo, al principio se sentía muy insegura, pero poco a poco percibiendo los avances en los niños se sentía orgullosa de su trabajo, hasta que un día llego el alcalde del pueblo y le dijo que tenía que marcharse.
