A group of teenager marine species conversation: Let’s listen to them.



NARRATOR: Once upon a time, at the floor of the ocean, in a far place in the world, there was a group of teenager marine species talking about their life stories, feelings and whatever they were interested in.

There was a Jellyfish, a Golden Fish, a Seahorse and a Starfish.

I made great efforts to get near themand listen to what they were talking about and know them much better.

I was so surprised when they realized I was there and invited me to meet the group.

It was amazing to be there. They told me they were students at the Public Underwater High School and they were preparing a project for the class of English. They were rather confused because they did not understand well what they have to do.Anyway, they had decided to introduce each other to their classmates by telling funny stories, anecdotes or jokes about themselves.

They ask me to introduce them, and this is what I do…

Here you are the Jellyfish!!!!!….



JELLYFISH: Hey! hey!, hello! Look at me! Yes it’s me the jellyfish!....Yes I know that the 98 per cent of me is water, but I ‘m here!! Please, do not laugh of me.Mom and Dad told me that I’m one of the most beautiful creatures that live in the seas around the world and that my transparent body assimilates the form of mushroom and it takes different colors like pink, purple and blue.

I know they say that because they love me.

When I was at Public Underwater Elementary School I was a victim of bullying. The kids told me that I was just water. Sincethen I knew that the 98 per cent of my body is water, but worst of all ,it is that the other 2 per cent is poison, guys say!

They also told me that my body was so transparent that nobody could see me. Since then I got a nickname…jellyfish ghost!

Well, thank you Narrator for giving me the chance to tell about my life.

GOLDEN FISH: Okay, thank you very much. You are very nice for the welcome!

Well, first of all…I have to tell you that this is not my house. I used to live in the city, not in the sea.

Why? Because we, Golden fish, are the first species to be kept in ponds by humans. Most of my relatives are very popularfish and live in aquariums.

Parents take their children to see us at aquariums because they like our bright orange body. The problem is when children ask their parents to take us to their homes and keep us in a beautiful bowl. Since then, life will never be the same for us. Why? I will give you some examples:

The new mom says to her kid: “Jimmy, have you changed water to the fish bowl?

Andthe kid answers:” No, Mom! My golden fish hasn’t drunk all the water yet!”

Same thing happens to my mom when she was taken to a house. The Kid told his dad: “Hey Dad, my golden fish is gaining weight, what can I do?! And his Dad answered him: Do what your mom does. She drinks eight glasses of water a day!” Since that day, I’m an orphan golden fish.

That’s why I decided to run away from thecity and meet these nice friends in the ocean floor.

SEAHORSE: Thank you Narrator. Hello everybody. I was listening to my friends stories and I realized many things we have in common.

We, the sea horses use to live in calm , warm waters, in the temperate and tropical seasworldwide.

As the Jellyfish I can change the color of my body . This depends on the environment I live. I have to tell you that I hate when I become pink because they call me horse princess, horse princess!

As the Jellyfish, I am victim of bullying as well. Guys ask me why I’m a seahorse, because I have no arms no legs to run nor to hop. And I think is true.
