Questions for Session 2 (Theme - Listening and Speaking):

1. Give 3 examples of Listening and/or Speaking activities that are in harmony with the CLT approach.

• Task-completionactivities, for example: games, puzzles, and other kinds of classroom tasks in which the focus is on using one´s language resources to complete a task.

• Opinion-sharing activities, for example:activities in which students compare values, opinions, or beliefs,...

• Role plays, for example: activities in which students are assigned roles and improvise a scene or exchange based on giveninformation or clues.

2. What are ‘Individual Characteristics’?

Individual Characteristics are the aspects that the teacher have to know in to the teaching process, for example:

✓ Age(young children, adolescents and adult learns), because people of different ages have different needs, competences, and cognitive skills.

✓ Learner differences (aptitude, good learner,learner styles, language levels, individual variations)

✓ Motivation.

3. Which ‘Individual Characteristics’ must be taken into account in the activities you listed in your first answer?The "Individual Characteristics" that must be taken into account are the age and learner differences, because in the first activity must be adapted to the age of learners since the level of thelanguage of young children isn´t developed. Moreover, the second activity is more appropriate for adult learns because they have more experiences and higher level of language to give their opinions andbeliefs.

4. How would errors and mistakes be dealt with in the activities you listed in your first answer?

I´ll be dealt with errors and mistakes in the activities through the toleranceduring activities because students can have limited linguistic knowledge and return to them later with an accuracy-based activity.
