The Toyota Motor Co. Ltd. was founded in 1937 as a branch of the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, which since 1926 was one of the leading manufacturers of sewing machines.
At that time theToyoda Automatic Loom Works was chaired by Sakichi Toyoda, known as the "King of Japanese Inventors", and the rights of the patent of one of his inventions served as "seed money" for the construction anddevelopment Toyota cars first.
In 1935 he produced his first car through the recruitment of engineers from the MG above, this car was much like the Chrysler Airflow. Only two years later the companychanged its name to Toyota Motor Co. Ltd.
