PROFESSOR GREGORY TORRES QUINTERO
1866- 1934

He was Born in Colima 25 may 1866. He was Head of public instruction, he carried out the school reform using his famous Fonético-Onomatopéyicomethod for teaching reading and writing based on natural sounds to letters, syllables and words. Mexico from 1904 was head of primary and Normal. He was writer of over 30 books on educational, historical, customs, tales, etc. and numerous articles that were published in journals national and international in its time, which had sufficient resources to pay for him and his wife, Doña Matilde González,a long journey of almost two years (since the summer of 1926 until the spring of 1928) old continent visitors from almost all countries located around the Mediterranean Sea.
