MODULO 1

Para señalar identificación, descripción o ubicación en el pasado.

We are doctors now. We were students last winter.
You are well now. You were sick at 7 this morning.
Monterrey is big now. It was small in 1700.

Last; This; Yesterday; Ago; This; Tonight.

Para señalar que una determinada identificación, descripción o ubicación no correspondeal sujeto en el pasado.

I wasn’t (was not) slender ten months ago. We weren’t (were not) friends last year.

Para preguntar y responder si corresponde al sujeto una identificación, descripción o ubicación en el pasado.

Were they nurses? Yes, they were. No, they weren‘t.
Were you an artist? Yes, I was. No, I wasn‘t.

MODULO 2

Para indicar que una acción se estaba desarrollando enun momento dado en el pasado.

They are working now. They were working at 6 a.m.
Our dogs are resting. They were running in the park at 10.
Mary is playing alone. She was sleeping an hour ago.

Para preguntar y responder si una determinada acción se estaba desarrollando en un momento dado en el pasado.

Was John reading in his library? Yes, he was. / Yes he was reading in his library.Were you singing at a theater? Yes, I was. / No, I wasn‘t singing at a theater.

Para preguntar datos específicos sobre identificación, descripción, ubicación o actividad en desarrollo en un momento determinado.

What were they playing? Tennis. They were playing tennis.
Where were your parents? In the house. My parents were in the house.
How was he walking? Carefully. He was walkingcarefully.
Whom was she talking to? To him. She was talking to him.

Para indicar que la acción, actitud, carencia, etc. se ha dado y concluido en el pasado.

She walked to school this morning. You danced with Patrick last Saturday.
They closed the store at 6 yesterday. She studied in the evening.

MODULO 3

Para indicar que una acción, inclinación, etc., se ha dado y concluido enel pasado. Cuando el verbo no admite la terminación “ed”. (Irregulares).

Cut. I cut six flowers five minutes ago.
Break. You broke the vase.
Catch. The policemen caught the thief.

Para indicar que no se ha dado y concluido en el pasado una acción, actitud, etc.

He didn’t (did not) match the ball. You didn’t (did not) clean the room.
They didn’t drink coffee this morning. He didn’t gowith Mary to the movies.

MODULO 4

Para preguntar y responder si una acción, inclinación, etc., se ha dado y concluido en el pasado.

Did he play soccer yesterday morning? Yes, he did. / No, he didn’t.
Did you study your lesson yesterday afternoon? Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.

Para preguntar y responder datos específicos sobre una acción, inclinación, etc.

What did we break? Thewindow We broke the window.
At what time did she get up? At 7 a.m. She got up at 7 a.m.
Whom did he escort? Mary He escorted Mary.

MODULO 5

Para señalar que un evento, situación, clasificación, ubicación, etc. ocurrirán en el futuro.

Your birthday is going to be tomorrow. Your birthday will be tomorrow.
She is going to be a teacher. She will be a teacher.
Their sister isgoing to be married soon. Their sister will be married soon.

Today, tomorrow, this, next, ten minutes from now; in ten minutes; before; after; during.

MODULO 6

Para indicar que no se va a realizar una acción, actitud, cualidad, etc. en el futuro.

We are not (aren’t) going to go to school today. We will not (won’t) go to school today.
You aren’t going to need an umbrella this morning.You won’t need an umbrella this morning.
Your house isn’t going to small. Your house won´t be small.

Para preguntar si una accion ocurrira en el futuro y para responder brevemente.

Is the party going to be in the garden? Will the party be in the garden?
Yes, it is/ No, it’s not. Yes, it will/ No, it won’t.
Are you going to finish your book soon? Will you finish your book soon?...
