| |Emotional Self-Awareness is the ability to recognize one’s emotions and their |
| |effects. It is the ability to effectively read how we react to cues in the|
| |environment and be aware of how one’s emotions affect performance. |
| |For Example: People who have this competency know the internal meters and subtle |
| |signals that tell them what they are feeling, and use them as an ongoing guide to |
||how they are doing. They are able to articulate those feelings, as well as |
| |demonstrate social appropriateness in expressing them. |

| |what they can do and do not hesitate to ask for |
| |help from other people who have more|

| |feel comfortable. They are eager to learn and |
| |improve on a continuous basis |
