“Culture”
Culture in administration frequently has lack of importance. Geert Hofstede says that “culture is the mental programing that differentiates a group or category of people among others. In domestic enterprises, few times this importance is given in this distinctions, is considered that the same language, flag or political system are homogenizing agents enough to consider the inhabitantsas monocultural. In the global arena in which a company operates internationally is multicultural.
To analyze the culture differences between nations or regions, is useful to inquire, Hofstede, who defines five bipolar dimension of “Cultural Differences”
Distance of Power: the inequality between several segments of population considerate as “normal”.
Masculine, as opposite of feminine: thegrade of preference that prevails in a society for the hard values as acertivity, performance and success, instead of the soft ones as life quality, interpersonal relations, service, protection, etc.
Aversion to uncertainty: the degree of preference of a country for structured situations with clear rules about unstructured situations.

A company that undertakes a detailed analysis of thesecultural traits before starting its action in a foreign country can significantly reduce the risk of failure.

Also the difference between them and the features of the national culture of the company's native country. If the need arises to analyze, in addition to the culture of a country, individual companies, such as when contemplating the purchase or sale of a business, you should use a secondinstrument of cultural analysis, which applies specifically to companies and their units or subsidiaries, but not countries and regions: the seven S of McKinsey; starts with the shared values (The philosophical and spiritual concepts shared by the members of an organization.)

CONTENT
The cultural differences are very important in international business because between nations can exist differentcultures that should be understand and cared in the best manner by the entrepreneurs that wish to venture in foreign business.

In other words, having the knowledge of other cultures, means to understand the effect of the cultural differences of nations involved in the international trade. For this is necessary to know the social structure, the religious and ethic systems; the language, educationand the work culture. 

The culture is a system of values and norms that a group shares, and, when are taken together, constitute a life scheme. For values, we understand, the abstract ideas about what a group considers good, correct, acceptable and desirable. For norms is understand, the rules and social guides that subscribes the correct behavior in determinate situations. And finally, forsociety, a group of people that shares common values and norms.

The values are the base of a culture, they provide the connect in which are stablished and the norms of a society are justified. The values also have, an emotional meaning that is expressed in the political and economic system of the society.

Norms are the social rules that govern the actions of people together. They have twocategories: uses and custom. Uses are arrangements for daily life with little meaning and customs are moral rules that are considered essential for the functioning of a society and social life.

The society is a group of people united by a common culture, there is no strict correspondence between a society and a state because the nations are political creations that may have one or more cultures. Inaddition, there are cultures that span several countries or states.

“Determinants in Culture”
The main determinants of culture are the social structure, language, religion, education, political philosophy and economic philosophy. These factors evolve or change and alter the culture and values of a society, which in turn alters the social structure and religion.
