* What is the significance of the case (united States V. William Tapia)?
* The role of a diplomat is to represent a State in its best interest, not only withofficial correspondence but also with its own personal example of behavior; In return the state extents it diplomatic immunity so that the representative can conduct its duties without fears orinterventions from the host country. In the case of “United States V. William Tapia” We see a conflict of duties and responsibility, I think he knew that he would get in trouble for his actions but use his onlyclaim as a diplomat to try to get out of it. I would think that a lot of people would see this protection as a way to get away with doing illegal activities. As we see in the case it is importantthe diplomat realize that diplomatic protection belongs to the state and not the individual, therefore it is the right of the state to extend its immunity or not to do so.
* What does UnitedStates V. Ibrahim Ahmed Al-Hamadi signifies?
* This case now extents to the benefits and responsibilities of the families’ members that enjoy diplomatic immunity. I’ve travel to many places and Ihad met many people that always try to take advantage of their uncles or fathers position in the government. The saddest part is that most of the time they get away with whatever they try to do. Inthe case of Al-Hamidi, he failed to follow the proper procedurals and responsibilities, there for he was not protected by his country’s immunity.
