IS THE WORLD REALLY GOING TO END ON DECEMBER 21, 2012?
In the article “Is the world really going toend on December 21, 2012?” written by John Major Jenkins (2012), he says that the right answer is not, that humans being unknown when or how it is going to happen. However, he is based on in facts thatare happening in the actual year, he believes that the world is going to face changes in the following years and that it can define as the end of the world.
The author says that the hypothesisabout the end of the world has been questioned since in 1999 until December 21, 2012 facts like storms, natural disasters, social, economic and religious upheavals, are happening during the last yearsand that those events will be defined like a doomsday.
The author argues that humans being are going to face the fury of the nature because each event that happen is going to be more intensive, andthat those disasters are going to happen in different places where people have to suffer a lot because of the destruction presented with each natural disaster.
In the same way, the author saysthat the same society has began the planet´s destruction because of biological and nuclear wars, just for looking a global domination they produce the destruction of many regions, and the power ofthe leaders generate chaos, and forgetting the people’s rights.
Besides, the all catastrophes that are happening are considered like a warning which is going to take place on December 21, 2012and the possible disasters there is a volcanic eruption in the Yellowstone Park, and the alignment of the planets and the solar activity is going to increase which are going to bring a kind of changesduring the following days, those event s will destroy humans’ life.
