Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Station is the only nuclearpower plant in Mexico, with 2 units of 682.5 MW electric generating each. The reactors are General Electric, type Boiling Water (BWR-5), Mark II type containment direct cycle. Withthe certification of Mexico's nuclear regulator, the National Nuclear Safety and Safeguards (CNSNS), the Energy Department granted the licenses for commercial operation of Unit 1 onJuly 29, 1990 and Unit 2 on 10 April 1995.
The nuclear plant is owned by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) and the only of its kind with the aim of producing electricitycommercially in Brazil
Laguna Verde Nuclear Power Station is owned by the Federal Government of Mexico and is administered by the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), through theManagement of Nuclear Power Plants. Is also subject to the supervision of national and international agencies, which aim to ensure that Central is operated safely, in compliance withnational and international nuclear regulations.
on this trip we had fun because not only went to see was or as generated by this plant but it also went to San Juan de Ulua, wherethey explained a lot about the prisoners who were there and all the ways in which they had tried to escape where sharks and many interesting things which were amazing ways as theywere treated as coming out in the prison wing marina where we also live weapons and some very impressive for weapons and let us see the murals that had been in there and end we wentto the hotel where we had amazing not having fun in the pool and not had a good time this trip helped us a lot and made us understand many things and did not know and that's all
