Palabras clave: Evaluación neuropsicológica, daño frontal, revisión y sistematización, modelo de Luria. neuropsychological consequences of the prefrontal cortex damage. Summary The frontal lobes are the most complex brain areas, supporting a wide variety and of psychological processes.Despite this, the diverse approximations in neuropsychological evaluation have been characterized by focusing in only few partial processes. Only until recent years some wide and extensive Batteries have been proposed. In contrast to this, Luria´s model (1986, 1999) propose the evaluation of a broad range of processes, and propose a particular evaluation method. After careful and extensive reviewof Luria´s proposal, an evaluation protocol has been organized and adapted. In order to explore the utility of this proposal, 6 patients where evaluated in more than 21 processes proposed, the patients where selected for having focused frontal lobe damage. Two patients with bilateral frontal lobe damage, two patients with left frontal lobe damage (dorsolateral and orbital) and two patients withright frontal lobe damage (anterior prefrontal and dorsolateral). Results indicate specific results according to the particular prefrontal region damaged, even differentiation between patients with injuries in different regions within the same hemisphere. However commons processes affected were found: sequential movement organization, synthesis capacity, abstract thinking, active visual...
