ESSAY ABOUT CLASS OBSERVATION
I had the opportunity to observe the Mr. Sanchez’s class from 8:55 to 10:36 am for juniors 5 on Saturday 11th.Therefore, teacher hadmany positive things during his class but it had been better with some complementing things.
First of all, having positive things in a class is very important fora teacher so Mr. Sanchez did it. For example, one of them is when he arrived punctual to his class since it shows that he is a responsible person. Another thing, teacherdid many exercises to students in order to practice simple present. Also, he asked students to participate on the board (boys and girls) then, he did good production; forexample, students talked with their partner about activities on weekend after teacher gave an example:
What do you do on the weekend?
On Saturdays, I play soccer in theafternoon
On Saturdays, I go to the cinema.
On the other hand, the class of Mr. Sanchez was clear but it could have been better with some complementing things.For example, he could have showed some pictures or imagines to describe actions with regard to the topic in order to get the attention from students. Besides, he could havegotten that whole class participate in front of class with the purpose that everybody feel confidence and how much they have learned in class since there were fewstudents.
In conclusion Mr. Sanchez had positive things when I observed his class on Saturday; however, he could have used complementing things like some materials orpictures in order to be clear and specific with the main idea. At the end of the class, students understood the topic because they did many exercises during the class.
