Los Amos De Mexico

In this essay I am going to talk about the book of "Los amos de México" and its social consequences in our lives.
First of all I want to say that this book really leaves me with a great taste ofmouth because it let us know very important facts of the people that are not politicians that runs our country and let us know a lot more about them and how have they arrived to that places. The bookmake us notice that if the 20 richest families in the country concentrate more of the 10 percent of the PIB, half of the action value in the Mexican Stock Market and they influence in the political andeconomic decisions, then they are very powerful people that can make differences and changes in our country, thing that personally don´t thing that has to be a bad thing, the problem concentrates inthe distribution of wealth, because it is unexplainable that 20 families controls such a big kind of money and there are lots of people dying every day because they don´t have nothing to eat.
One ofthe biggest or well the richest man in Mexico is Carlos Slim, and with him I need to say that he owns the 6.3 % of the Mexican PIB which already tell us that is the most important man in our country.Slim is one of the Amos of Mexico because he owns one of the most strategic companies in Mexico and it´s Telmex, several times Carlos Slim has been sued because they say that Telmex is a monopoly andCarlos Slim obviously say that it isn´t, I think that the barriers to enter that business because of the large investment you had to make to enter, it makes Telmex a "legal" monopoly. In my personalopinion, Telmex in not an illegal company but it´s also not a very social responsible one because their profit margins are really high, they should lower the prices for the best of the country butbecause they don’t have anyone to compete with they put the price they want.
