Mexico has increased a lot through the last years in its macroeconomics. Our government has being doing a lot of efforts and we should be proud of it. Because ourgovernment does a lot of things to make this country a tier 1 country.
Some of our strengths in the macroeconomics are:
Our main industries that are: Aircraft, automobile industry, petrochemicals, cementand constructions, textiles, food and beverages, mining, consumers durables and tourism.
Tourism is one of the most important industries in Mexico. Mexico is the eight most visited country in the world(with over 20 million visitors a year).
Abundant mineral resources and has historically led the world in the production of silver.
We are the fourth largest corn producer in the world also Mexicois the fifth largest oil producer in the world.
Agriculture, as a percentage of GDP (Gross Domestic Product), has been steadily declining, and now resembles that of developed nations, in that itplays a smaller role in the economy.
The president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Mr Richard Fisher, told his listeners that Mexico is in much better economic shape than the United States. In hisspeech he says that: “ Mexico is actually doing better than many macroeconomics areas, thanks to the soundness of its economy.” The fiscal reforms that the Mexican government has taken over the lastdecade under the leadership of President Felipe Calderon have manage the strength of the economy. Fisher commented that “Mexico´s national debt is about 27 (twenty seven) percent of its GDP.
